River of Glory Country Retreat is located on 5 acres in Iowa's majestic Loess Hills, just two miles due east of Bellevue, Nebraska. Cradled in the midst of farm fields, the elegantly built 1890 Victorian farm house is secluded at the end of a private 1/2 mile paved driveway. Nestled between Interstate 29 and the Missouri River, this bed and breakfast offers the peace and quiet of country living close to the city.
Facilities include gardens, a gazebo, and a carriage house. Recreation trails are nearby. Set very close to the river that Lewis and Clark traveled, it isn't unusual to view one of the bald eagles in the area as it gracefully sweeps through the air or swoops down through the vastness of an open sky. Sunrises and sunsets are spectacular and star-gazing is exceptional.
Bellevue and Offutt Air Force base are just 5 minutes away; Omaha and Council Bluffs just 15 minutes away. We offer space for short stays, receptions, and reunions.
