An Ames, Iowa, Bed and Breakfast, MonteBello B&B Inn is our lively five-bedroom "hacienda," decorated with original Mexican artwork and folk art. MonteBello B&B evokes a cultured atmosphere suffused with light and vibrant colors. Each room is designed to represent different states in Mexico by incorporating the colors of that state into the decor of the room. In addition to a private bath, each room has vaulted ceilings, a King size bed, and a panoramic view. Walk among wildflowers and around the lake or sit on our terraza (terrace) to relax. MonteBello B&B Inn is located just five minutes from Iowa State University Center, the Ames airport, Iowa State University Research Park, and ten minutes from North Grand Mall and Mary Greeley Medical Center. We are a 45-minute drive away from Des Moines International Airport, and a 30-minute drive from the city of Des Moines. MonteBello Inn is 3 hours from Minneapolis, 3 hours from Omaha, 6 hours from Chicago, 4 hours from Kansas City, and 7 hours from St. Louis.
